Whilst one man on reception was cheerful and friendly the other 2 staff were incredibly grumpy. Our bed was up against a wall so husband had to clamber over the bed to get out. However, generally the hotel was disappointing. The location was OK - on a fairly busy Y junction at the lower end of the old town but reasonably quiet at night. We looked at other places which seemed better for the same money, but as your payment is non-refundable it's not economical to switch once you've arrived.… ![]() However there is better value for money out there. Overall: This hotel has a great location, near the bridges and a five minute walk to the Mizquita. It's an older building, and the linen/beds were poor quality. The bathrooms are also extremely small, so be careful getting in and out of the tub. 4) It's cramped! They crammed in extra beds which were not needed, and there is very little shelving/storage to put clothes so you're living out of your suitcase. This isn't a huge deal for most people, but if you're carrying a lot of luggage, or if you have health issues, it will be. If you're on a different floor, you won't have access to it. 2) The balcony/patio advertised is in the fourth floor, and for the exclusive use of those using that room (it's the only entrance). Don't scratch your rental car! There is free parking about 1km north-east of the hostel, or public parking costs 15E per day. The parking entrance is dangerously tight, with a hard left turn ramp that is impossible to navigate in anything wider than a Fiat or Mini. The parking entrance is very near the hostel but due to the one-way system it's about a ten minute drive from the hostel if you miss the entrance. 2) We stayed on the fourth floor and had the balcony, which was great to sit out an enjoy the sounds of the city (not much of a view though). Pros: 1) The location is very good, close to the bridges and a five minute walk to the Mizquita. My family and I stayed here for three nights. We had to ring the door bell a lot until someone showed up. When we left around 9h we had to wait for someone to open the reception door so we could return the keys to the room and also the garage keys and that delayed our schedule a bit. The only downside was the reception operating hours. ![]() ![]() We were very pleased with the apartment altough our upstairs guests were quite loud one night. The garage is very near, but the hotel provided a map because the Córdoba center is full of one way streets, and so, we had to drive around to reach the garage. The Hostal is well located near the center and the provides a parking space in their garage, if it is available, for 10€ a night. It was a very spacious apartment, with a kitchnette and big and modern bathroom, in a building right next to the hotel. Upon arrival, the clerk at the desk told us that they would give us an apartment instead of the triple room since we were only a couple. We booked a triple room at Hostal Alamanzor despite being only two guests because the double room was no longer available.
